Wildlife photography is undoubtedly the most challenging. It requires technical skill, endless patience and being alert at all times because the moment that 'perfect' image presents itself may be fleeting and never to be repeated.
Becoming an accomplished zoo photographer takes a lot of practice and years of experience - working with the difficult environment and predicting complex behaviours - but it has unique rewards. I provided many of the marketing, news and education images for Chester Zoo, the largest in the UK.
Photographing wildlife can be incredibly rewarding; it's a real thrill to see a hen harrier soar overhead, never mind get a photograph of it, and the countryside is full of such treasures.
